ABOVE ALL

Yesterday marked the beginning of the Eastwoods Christian Church Worship Team. Some of us from the church are working on doing some stuff, and we'll hopefully start leading the Sunday morning worship very soon. I'm excited. Right now members are as follows:

Dan Sebald--Guitar
Rachael Lanz--Guitar
Holly Sebald--Piano
Jacob Linson--Bass Guitar
Hannah Lanz--Vocalist

We're working on getting a drum set and when that happens I will probably play that sometimes. We're just seeing what happens and trying to just let it go how it goes. Much less stress that way=D Anyways, here's one of the songs we worked on yesterday, and likely one of the first we'll do with the congregation. Here's to trying and letting God take care of the rest=)

Above all powers
Above all kings
Above all nature
And all created things
Above all wisdom
And all the ways of man
You were here
Before the world began

Crucified
Laid behind a stone
You lived to die
Rejected and alone
Like a rose
Trampled on the ground
You took the fall
And thought of me
Above all

Above all kingdoms
Above all thrones
Above all wonders
The world has ever known
Above all wealth
And treasures of the earth
There's no way to measure
What You're worth

Crucified
Laid behind a stone
You lived to die
Rejected and alone
Like a rose
Trampled on the ground
You took the fall
And thought of me
Above all

Crucified
Laid behind a stone
You lived to die
Rejected and alone
Like a rose
Trampled on the ground
You took the fall
And thought of me
Above all

Going

Jesus commands us to go,

but we go the other way.

So He carries the burden alone,

While His children are busy at play,

Feeling so called to stay.

Oh, how God grieves and believes that the world can't be saved,

Unless the ones He's appointed obeys,

His command and His stand for the world,

That He loved more than life.

Oh He died, and he cries out tonight.

Jesus commands us to go,

It should be the exception if we stay.

It's no wonder we're moving so slow,

When His church refuses to obey,

Feeling so called to stay.

Oh how God comes, as He starts the great judgment of fire,

So He can gain, His Greatest desire.

Cause He knows that the souls of the lost,

They can only be reached, through us,

We're His hands and His feet.

Jesus commands us to go,

It should be the exception if we stay.

It's no wonder we're moving so slow,

When God's children refuse to obey,

Feeling so called to stay.

Inspiration at Steak 'N' Shake

The following was written on the back of a place setting at Steak 'N' Shake on Meijer Drive.

If I woke up tomorrow
And you weren't here for me
What would I do?
How could I be?

Would I be able to breath?
No chance.
None at all.
You're my life balance.

You're the steps that I take.
You're the giver of life.
Of every breath that I take
Through every strife.

You're my super man.
My number one.
Any challenge that comes
You handle; it's done.

If not for you
There'd be no me.
Father, Son, Spirit,
I need all three.

Daddy and brother,
Stranger and friend,
Thank you for being
With me through the end.

My Happy Ending

Ohh, ohh
So much for my happy ending
Ohh, ohh
So much for my happy ending
ohh, ohh, ohhhh

Let's talk this over
It's not like we're dead
Was it something I did?
Was it something you said?
Don't leave me hangin'
In a city so dead.
Held up so high
On such a breakable thread

You were all the things I thought I knew
And I thought we could be
You were everything, everything
That I wanted,
We were meant to be, supposed to be
But we lost it
All of the memories so close to me
Just fade away
All this time you were pretending
So much for my happy ending

ohh, ohh,
So much for my happy ending
Ohh ohh

You've got your dumb friends
I know what they say
They tell you I'm difficult
But so are they
But they don't know me
Do they even know you?
All the things you hide from me
All the shit that you do

You were all the things I thought I knew
And I thought we could be
You were everything, everything
That I wanted
We were meant to be, supposed to be
But we lost it
All of the memories so close to me
Just fade away
All this time you were pretending
So much for my happy ending

It's nice to know that you were there
Thanks for acting like you care
And making me feel like I was the only one
It's nice to know we had it all
Thanks for watching as I fall
And letting me know we were done

He was everything, everything
That I wanted
We were meant to be, supposed to be
But we lost it
All of the memories so close to me
Just fade away
All this time you were pretending
So much for my happy ending

You were everything, everything
That I wanted
We were meant to be, supposed to be
But we lost it
All of the memories so close to me
Just fade away
All this time you were pretending
So much for my happy ending

ohh, ohh, ohh, ohh
So much for my happy ending
ohh, ohh, ohh, ohh
So much for my happy ending
ohh, ohh, ohh, ohhhhh
